We are involved in training newly qualified doctors in General Practice.  GP assistants stay with the practice for a 4 month placement and are supervised by the other GPs during their attachments.  They are fully qualified doctors who have spent at least 12 months working as hospital doctors before coming to General Practice.

Student Doctors also spend time in the practice.  They are studying to become doctors and are grateful if you agree to see them.   Note that your medical care is always undertaken by your GP, the student will just be there to learn.  You will always be asked before being seen by a Student Doctor.
