Training

We are involved in training newly qualified doctors in General Practice. Our doctors are in Foundation Year 2 and are based at the Newcastle Hospitals. They are fully qualified doctors who have spent at least 12 months working as hospital doctors before coming to General Practice. They stay with the practice for a 4 month placement and are supervised by the our GPs during their attachment.

Medical students also spend time in the practice. They are studying to become doctors and are grateful if you agree to see them. Our medical students spend some time learning from talking with patients. If you are happy to come in to speak with our medical students then please contact the reception and leave a message for Dr Lee.

Note that your medical care is always undertaken by your GP, the student will just be there to learn. You will always be asked for your permission before being seen by a medical student.
