West Farm Surgery has recently been made a research practice.  This means that you may sometimes be asked to participate in research – usually by being asked questions about your illness.  Most of the research is run by Universities, but we help by arranging for suitable patients to take part.   The research studies have all been passed by ethical committees and we do NOT do research or experimentation that will involve you taking trial drugs or anything that is likely to be dangerous.

You can always decline to take part and if you do, this will in no way affect the healthcare services we provide for you.
